Objectives of the BCTF

# To focus on national and international environmental issues, biodiversity conservation, nature conservation, bio-resource conservation, biodiversity researches and bio-resource management researches.

# To create a strong resource bank, bio-resource bank, biodiversity working group and nature conservation working group. The trust will build a comprehensive data base and a rich website. There will be continuous information gathering and other study/research initiatives for regular update of the website and the trust’s achievements.

# To sensitize the government, the trust will take steps to prepare a national policy for protecting biodiversity, protecting bio-resources and protecting nature.

# To take academic, research and non-academic initiatives to address problem. To conduct special researches for using butterfly-plant interaction as “biotic indicator” for assessing climate change impact on biodiversity. The trust will conduct the higher researches in the fields.

# To cater training and capacity building programmes, the trust will collaborate with national and international partners or with own resources. The trust will take programmes for nature conservation and biodiversity conservation in favour of all CBD Articles and Annexes; and Bio-safety protocol. 

# To publish journals, research papers, newsletters, books, blogs, websites, video etc based on research and development activities of the trust. In addition the trust will help government, trade bodies and NGOs for preparing every environment related publications, problems and attempts.

# The trust will have a unit which will run watchdog missions to prepare recommendations for realistic action plans for the sake of protecting nature and biodiversity.

# To make necessary recommendations, the trust will independently conduct investigations, fact-finding missions, and research and policy analysis. Later the finding will be published in front of the media and on websites.

# To enhance the quality of environmental writing and other best practice of environmental journalism, the trust will facilitate training and workshops on biodiversity and biodiversity conservation. The foundation will also spend affords to build a group of environment writers, environment working group and biodiversity work plan.

# To create and establish environment-sound ecotourism industry. To establish butterfly open Natural Park and butterfly colonization centers. To be developed necessary frameworks for joint collaboration efforts.

# To develop a permanent participatory monitoring system by involving local people for conservation of biodiversity and forest ecosystem. To create awareness about biodiversity conservation among the people of all sphere of life.

# To help the government to formulate necessary laws and guideline for environment and biodiversity protection.

# To publish yearly papers on implementation of environmental project and tales of success and failure will be included in the whitepapers.

# To facilitate public and experts’ dialogues on biodiversity such as seminars, roundtable discussion, workshops and interaction with people.

# To build a lab for biodiversity, biodiversity conservation and nature conservation researches. It will gather funds and work.

# To offer ‘BCTF Award’ for the contribution in the field of environment, biodiversity    conservation and nature conservation. The trust will also conduct ‘BCTF Prize’ for the undergraduate students to create awareness about biodiversity conservation and nature conservation through holding national and global competition.
